Omalth is J'nol's dragon. A log from his Hatching can be found here - Igen Hatching 08-28-03
Personality
---
He says little, but his words carry a weight that hammers home his thoughts every time. Omalth gives off the appearance of being relaxed, content to watch his friends play, perhaps join on the fringes of their games, but most of the time he wants to sit and be with you. Don't assume he'll slack off in drills, though. Sure, he takes life as it comes, rolls with the punches, and always has a smile, but he also understands how serious the world can be. After all, you can't watch your friends and clutchmates die without becoming a little jaded. Being free with his affections (any green who permits him to fly her way is a friend forever, but no more or less so than those he never catches), Omalth is not a stud but a best friend. He doesn't flirt, and yet greens seem to like him. Serious about thread, he hides his fears behind a calming aura. While Omalth is everyone's quiet friend, you are his only confidante. Secure in the knowledge that you and he will never part, he shares everything that he is with you, and remains a touchstone in your life. He may present the world at large with restraint and quiet contemplation, but with you he shares the truth. He only really trusts you with his heart.
Physical Description
---
Cerulean and navy swirl in thick, clockwise ribbons over the surface of this dragonet's flank. His underbelly is dark velvet which, at it's depths, is tinged with hematite. Navy coats the dense trunks of his legs and appears to fade to midnight along the inter-twining shape of his sinews and his shiny onyx talons. A streak of deep twilight begins at the top of his head and then flows down the gentle slope of his neck, tumbling through the hills of his smooth ridges before opening out into the cloak of his wingsails. The frames themselves twinkle with bits of gold at their edges, as do the dark ridges along his ribbonesque tail. His wedge-shaped muzzle is cerulean which, at it's sharper angles, appears dusted with malachite, as are the rounded tops of his headknobs and moonlight glows behind his full, gentle eyes.
Egg Description
---
Whites, pale browns and faint patches of black roar in restless turmoil under the feet of the reddish brown gossamer spinner that straddles the egg. The spinner seems poised to leap off a leaf that rests on the pointed end of the egg, waiting for its prey. The shape and form of the spinner is faint, little more than a memory. We are not alone on this world.
