Full name: Tomas Victor Ortez
Most commonly used alias/nickname: Tomas, #3184 (designation at the clinic)
Player: Kari
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Physical Appearence Desc.: Tomas is a 25 year old human, 5'8" and painfully thin, with long limbs. His hair is black, and long enough to fall into his face, hiding his eyes (which are dark, shiny green, like adventurin stone). His skin tone is medium gold-brown, adding to a Hispanic look. His default expression is an expectant, predatory half-smile, with unfocused, glazed-over eyes adding to a somewhat disturbing look.
Date of Birth: February 2, 1978 AD
Siblings, Etc., in the Lounge: Josie "Coyote" Ortez
Backstory: Born to Eva & Auguste Ortez in 1978, in London, England. They had one other child, a daughter seven years older than Tomas, named Josefina (Josie). Tomas had a perfectly normal childhood, slightly on the poor side of town (his parents had very little education, and consequently Auguste Ortez was a blue-collar worker, a janitor at nearby office buildings). Until the time he was nine, everything seemed totally all right with Tomas Ortez, despite a slight learning disability that the authorities at the school ‘discovered’ in him – putting his slowness in school down to dyslexia. At the age of nine, however, he was discovered to be not quite so normal as everyone had believed. At his birthday party, he had about thirteen kids over, and they were playing party games – specifically, piñata – when he took the bat to the head of an 8 year old girl instead of the paper donkey. After quite a large fuss, the girl (Samantha Joanne Lewis) was rushed to hospital, the other party guests were bundled off home, and Tomas was asked why he had attacked Sammy. His answer (‘She looked like the fire in the garden’) was deemed to be the result of uncooperativeness rather than insanity. After Sammy Lewis’s death from the brutal attacks inflicted by Tomas, a trial was held in juvenile court. Tomas was declared mentally ill by the court psychologists, but the treatment sentenced by the judge was far too expensive for the Ortez’s. So he was given only minimal treatment before being sent back home, declared safe. After he killed and ate (raw) the family cat (a marmalade tabby tom named Big Red), however, they decided he probably wasn’t. By the time Tomas was 10 years old, he was installed in Psycho Shelter, otherwise known as the Refuge for the Impoverished Mentally Ill, a charity-run, rather dismally poor, insane asylum. After the Refuge shut down three years later, owing to a lack of funds and federal health inspections giving it an F, Tomas was returned to his family with a bill of health that he did not deserve. The 13 year old boy was definitely not healthy, so he was kept out of school. The task fell on 20 year old Josie to care for him, whilst her parents were at work, since his older sister was the only person Tomas would now recognise as being ‘on his side’, as it were; he considered everyone else to be plotting to kill him or lock him up permanently, in the fully-developed throes of paranoia. However, with Josie he was almost normal, albeit well behind in his maturity level, acting still like a nine year old child. Josie was very fond of her brother; she had been before his attack on Sammy Lewis, and she grew even more affectionate now, seeing him as an unloved victim of society, and the violence & brutality of his mental illness as being out of his control. For the next two years, Tomas was quiet and apparently safe, but when he was finally let out of the house at the age of 15, going with Josie to the supermarket, he attacked and brutally murdered a little old lady (Sylvia Julianna Warden, age 67) just outside the grocery store, beating her head repeatedly against the pavement. After this, Tomas was admitted, on government money, to the Jason Voorhees Clinic for the Criminally Insane, where he has remained to this day (25 years old).
Personality Desc.: Acts like a kind of shy, sweet nine year old child (despite being a shy, sweet, 25 year old man). He likes people, though he isn’t usually very good at interacting with them, especially children. He has very childlike ideas, and can be stubborn as a mule when he wants to be.

Anything else: In case you haven't noticed, he's bonkers.
