The paper-thin petals of the delicate, tiny pale lavender blossoms float gently to the ground on the still spring air, coming to rest on the dew-ridden grass or the already petal-filled, cool blue water. The sparse grey-brown branches are knotty, twisted, skeletal & bare save for these perfect, wispy flowers. Tiny pink buds wait to pop open, to become fragile blooms. Petals float through the air and blanket the ground with a sweet scented, light pink snow. Their fragrance fills the air of the morning of March. The sun watches benignly as the world goes about its way… and lavender blossoms make a lovelier snow.
