Tantomile

'Can you ride on a broomstick to places far distant?'

Tantomile and her twin Coricopat usually are coloured in mostly browns and grays, with the shorter style wig (except in the Stuttgart production, where, from pictures, I think they have longer wigs).
Tantomile and Coricopat are twins - they have identical costumes, move together, sing together, and do pretty much everything together and in unison during the show. Personality-wise, they're very mysterious and mystical cats. T.S. Eliot made up the name Tantomile to be a name for a witch's cat, which seems very fitting.
Tantomile is one of the younger queens, not a kitten - about the same age as Demeter, Bombalurina, and Cassandra - and doesn't have a very large singing role. Like her twin, Tantomile usually has only a few scattered solo lines here and there and is a fairly dance-heavy role. She has been in every production I know of except the 5th US National Tour (the Troika tour), which cut both of the twins, as well as Electra.

Cats she seems to have relationships with, and theories about that relationship:

  • Coricopat - This one is pretty decidedly canon. Tantomile and Coricopat are twins; as said above, they do almost everything in unison or at least together, and are rarely seen apart. Some fanfiction authors pair them as mates (whether leaving them as siblings as well or not).

  • Mistoffelees - I've seen numerous fanfics pairing Mistoffelees and Tantomile as mates (and once, as kitten and mother), enough that I feel it could be included on this page. I never saw it myself, but I think the ship stems from them both being magical (or at least mystical) cats.

  • Macavity - Not so common, nor so canon. There are enough fanfics pairing Macavity and Tantomile in some way (mates, siblings, or boss/minion) that I think it's worth mentioning. The reasoning behind this pairing seems to be the way that Tantomile (and Coricopat) are so mysterious... and... that seems to be about it.
