Etcetera

'Are you keen to be seen when you're smelling a rat?'

  Etcetera is a chorus cat, one of the kittens, and is not in every production. Going by video/London costumes, her coat is mainly grey, with some stripes of yellow and orange, reminiscient of Jellylorum. She has a pale grey wig with occasional black and gold stripes. She's pretty fluffy, with a puffball wig, but not as long-furred as some.
Etcetera is most definitely a kitten - she's playful, mischievous, fun-loving and carefree. In my opinion the cutest Jellicle in the tribe, she tends to hang out with Jemima/Sillabub, Electra, & Victoria, and is the Rum Tum Tugger's primary fan. She is generally considered to be an adorable little ditz. When Grizabella enters, Etcetera tries to approach her, but is whirled away by the older cats.

Cats she seems to have relationships with, and theories about that relationship:

  • Jellylorum - A possible mother, or at least mother figure. Not only does Jellylorum act very maternal towards and protective of Etcetera, but their coats closely resemble each other's.

  • Jennyanydots - Another possible mother. This is purely the combination of Jenny's Gumbieness and Etcetera being a daft little kitten.

  • Electra - More so than the other kittens, I see Electra being set up as Etcetera's best friend. Perhaps it's because they are the two 'chorus cat' female kittens, whereas Victoria and Jemima/Sillabub have larger roles.

  • Pouncival - Often gets paired with Etcetera romantically. I don't see it, myself.

  • Jemima - In fics, Etcetera is often set up as Jemima's less mature counterpart/friend, sort of to show how mature and wise Jemima is.
